PS for Target dress review

If anyone's interested, I got this dress over the weekend because I loved the color and thought I could wear it to work with a blazer or cardi and heels.

It's definitely going back. First, it's too short for my needs. I wanted something that came about the length on the model but mine hit about mid to low-thigh (not an attractive length for me). The color is nice but the material already has that "just washed" jersey fabric look about it. It's a bolder blue (closer to peacock blue) than in this picture but it's not as bright as I was hoping, esp. assuming it would fade a bit in the wash.

As for the fit, the arms were a bit snug, but that could be just me, and the top was pretty loose. It might fit well for someone with bigger boobs. I'm a B cup. The bow in the front doesn't really allow you to cinch in the waist either - it's more of a decoration than a useful tool.

All in all, it was a very plain dress with not much going for it (although it made my back side look awesome) and it isn't worth the $30 Target price tag. That's obviously not a lot of money for a dress but it looked cheap, even for the price (esp. given that at Target, that's a higher price point dress).

I bought the black one.  I actually really like it.  Here was my review:

Darn Target...went in for a prescription and came out with this too.  I think it's well made. The skirt is lined and it's super comfy.  It can be worn with heels( like wedges ) or flip flops. This is the most GO stuff I have bought/liked.  Uggghhh!!! Keep me away from Tarjay!

I will say I have seen the blue one IRL and I don't care for the color.  The sleeves were snug so I sized up and just scrunched the heck out of the bow.  I think it does a cinch pretty well. I liked the length also.  I guess we have totally different bodies but FYI I am a B cup too.  I don't know.  I've already worn mine- to court actually.  I think it's very versatile.

Yours looks totally different on you than it did on me. Mine hit me much higher on the leg and was too big in the bust. And the waist did nothing for creating a waistline for me (but to be fair, I have a huge hip to waist ratio - much smaller waist) but it does on you. I would have sized up to see if it was longer but the bust was already too big...

You're right about it being lined. I'd forgotten about that.

Yours looks great. Mine - not so much. Maybe I should try the black? I'll take it back and see if a different one fits differently.

I feel like that waistline is unflattering.. it sorta looks maternity-ish. I have found that while empire waistlines can be extremely flattering, if not done right, they can be too voluminous and make you look preggers.
