We're not doing much of anything... we might not even go out for dinner or anything. I don't want to deal with the crowds on what they're predicting to be a snowy night. I'm showing up at bf's house before class in the morning with frozen hot chocolate for him and his brother (a senitment from our all-time best day ever in New York). I'm making cupcakes and maybe some other sweets for his and my families, and giving them all tons of chocolate. I'm going to the craft store later for supplies to make Valentines for everyone. I hope I have enough time to finish them all!
I Valentine's Day. It's not so much about romance and love, but finding the cheesiest possible way to say I love you to friends and family... to me, at least.
I'm pretty sure I'm not even going to see the boy. I'm going to "Love Bites," an 80s power ballad sing along at a local movie theatre. It's going to be awesome. I'm going with all my girlfriends. I always have so much more fun when I do something with my girls rather than a dumb boy on VDay.
But the boy and I will be going out over the weekend to have a nice dinner and drinks, etc. We're not doing gifts, which is okay because now I can buy myself the thing I wanted him to buy me since I have the $$$ leftover from his non-gift. Hee.
Well, my BF lives 100 miles away so we had "ttara123 and BF V-day" last weekend. I took him out to eat and we watched Arrested Development all night. Exactly what I wanted to do
For V-day, I'm sending all of my friends old-school valentines (3-D animals and Pirates of the Carribean! yay!) I had a "date" with my one single guy friend to go to White Castle (they're doing this thing where they're taking reservations, and having waiters and candlelit tables. It's wonderfully campy...but he cancelled on me because he got a real date. My best friend's girlfriend might have to work kind of late that night (not to mention that he doesn't really want to do anything with her for V-day. He keeps asking me if he "has to." But that's a whole other story). So I might get him to go with me.

My fiance and I both get out of class late Wednsday night, so we're just going to get pizza and watch the Departed on DVD (I'm picking it up tomorrow for a V-Day suprise). He told me were going to a nice dinner on Thursday or Friday... but he's not much of a planner and has yet to make reservations so we'll just have to see if that works out.
My boyfriend and I are going to our favorite sushi restaurant. I'm so excited for the food! The restaurant has a loungy area that I requested when I made the reservation. I think I'm picking up a watch as a gift for him.
BF and I will be having lunch next door to my work at a fancy schmancy restaurant..but its lunch time so the prices are much better. I may or may not see him that night, if we do decide to go out, it will be a double date with my sister and her bf---probably bowling???
I'm going to *try* to get up and make him breakfast before work, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to drag my butt out of bed in order to accomplish that. That evening we are going to the botanical gardens because they are having champagne, hors d'ouvres, and dessert. mmmmm. No gifts though. I guess I should get a card.
I'm going to wear all black. :) I have to work the late shift that night but my co-workers and I are going to celebrate at work with chocolate-dipped strawberries and champagne.
i'm not sure. i got him a card and some small gifts and i might make brownies and decorate them, and wine will probably be involved. we'll probably either get take out, or go somewhere not so nice. this all depends on whether or not he actually gets home from work at a decent time since it's his busy season.

LOL, this is my Valentine's Day to a T (except we're on Year 11). We won't have wine, but I am making him some cookies. His birthday is coming up, so we don't do much for V-Day.

Cooking dinner together! It's so stressful to rush home to beat traffic to get changed...to have a romantic dinner...for some reason the freeway traffic is just awful that night. I love Valentine's day, but in the middle of the week it's really crazy. This year, we did a fancy dinner on Saturday, and are making marinated flank steak, spinach salad and some form of tiny potatoes with a nice bottle of champagne and the best little molten chocolate puddings for dessert! Happy Valentine's Day!
I'm doing my ideal V-day activity w/ my bf - chinese food + star wars. I'm not real big on romance. I did get him a card and this little dinosaur love story because we both act like we're five years old, but I'm not expecting anything. (Actually, I'm really hoping he doesn't do anything b/c only one of my roommates doesn't have a boyfriend now, and I really don't want her to feel left out or anything.)
