Hi & Paypal deal
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone. I used to post in the lucky forum and recently discovered this site and recognize a few names!
Anyhow, not sure if this is the right place to post this but for all the avid online shoppers with paypal accounts:

Follow this link to register to save $15 off a $30 purchase using Paypal. Just use Paypal to make a purchase between February 8 and March 31, and you'll be reimbursed:

Does anyone know if this is legit?
It looks good, but I am sooo wary of Paypal/Ebay spoofs, that I want to be sure.

Thanks!

I was wary of this, too. I'm just surprised that Paypal can do something like this, because they're not the seller of whatever I'm buying, just the funds transfer people...so it seems like they'd lose all kinds of $

I have used a $5 off Paypal deal before once and it worked fine.  Since paypal is owned by Ebay I figure they can afford it.  They double charge basically the sellers for fees for both Ebay and Paypal.  Thanks for the heads up!

It is legit. I received an e-mail from Pay Pal with the offer. When I clicked on 'learn more' it directed me to the secured page.

With all the fee money they get from people they more can afford this.  Plus I'm sure the merchants pay a fee as well each time you pay with Paypal.  It's just a way to advertise and bring awarness that you can use Paypal to pay at many stores.  Not much good ones to pick from though.  Anywho I'm sure they want you to use it at Ebay so they can get more of the money back with selling fees!

I'm going to use mine at itunes.

Oops. Sorry my post looked like SPAM. I don't have anything to do with paypal other than a member for online shopping. I had seen the link in another chat room.
Apparently you can use it on ANY site in US or Canada that accepts paypal... but the 15$ may not get deposited til May.
