I loved it! I loved the return of the crazy religious aspect, loved the creepy stuff with Starbuck and the painting of the Eye of Jupiter, loved Athena going to get her baby and Caprica helping her. Also loved all the shots of Lee & Anders sweaty and dirty. Yum yum yum.

But I'm kind of freaked out by the previews for next week... I have always been the most stubborn and dedicated of Star-pollo shippers, but now it's beginning to get on even MY nerves. I loved "Unfinished Business" but the episode before this started to annoy me, where Lee is like "I won't cheat," even though he obviously already is, and Starbuck is like, "I won't leave my marriage, it's a sacred bond," even though she's unconcernedly dishonoring it at that very second. Besides, it's not like they'd ever be happy and normal together, I prefer them pining for each other and having angst.

random question: i've heard really good things about this show, and i want to try and get into it. is it hard to pick up mid-series? or do i need to rent the dvds and catch up?

sephorablue: SciFi Channel made a sucky, sucky preview for next week's ep. I was annoyed, too because I'm not a fan of the bizarre love rectangle that is Lee/Dee/Kara/Anders. But, watch this preview instead, it looks so much better! I can't belive they're for the same episode! Go to http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/ and then under the "next episode Jan 28" box, mouse over to the 2nd video clip from the left. (It shows Baltar screaming). Watch that video, it's much better!! The synopsis for the ep is "Baltar considers suicide as he is brutally interrogated on the Galactica." As opposed to for the first preview, "Apollo and Starbuck are torn between temptation and guilt."

If Anders and Apollo want to run around in tank tops for the rest of the show, it's okay with me!

squishy: I really think you should watch the DVDs first. The show did several multi-epsisode plot arcs that are really important to understanding the characters. I think if you don't watch from the beginning, you won't care as much about the characters.

totally. Also, I think you'll find it won't take you much time to get caught up, cause you'll find yourself churning through the episodes as fast as you can find time to watch them...so definitely watch the DVDs first!

I loved it. I must admit that I was confused because I couldn't remember what happened last. I am completely turned off of the whole lee /starbuck thing. Now it's annoying - I couldn't agree more.
Squishy - I also think you should rent the DVDs - including the pilot movie that started it all (for me anyway!)

ETA: I do like the new time slot - since I tivo most everything I don't really care, but it does make my Friday night SUCK now.

I'm not a big Dee fan, but I felt soooo bad for her, especially that last scene, where she saw how Lee was looking at Starbuck before he went to hug her.

Who hasn't been in love with someone who doesn't love them back?

And I hope Athena and Helo get some time to be a LITTLE happy before the next bad thing happens to them...

Yeah I agree... I'm surprised, and happy, that she didn't go more insane after finding out what Roslin had done. I was totally dreading it but it seems like, at least so far, it's not going to result in Insane Athena Destroying the Fleet Drama. I feel so bad for them both, but I still get frustrated with Helo... he's so immersed in his own situation and his own family that he forgets that, as Roslin said, the rest of the cylons are a mortal threat to all of humanity. He's a soldier, he shouldn't be allowing himself to fall into that sort of single-minded focus.

So who do we think the other cylons are? I've been racking my brain to figure out who D'Anna was talking to when she said "I didn't know it was you" or something like that....I am begging that it's not Starbuck - with the old drawing of the Eye & such. I'm on the edge of my seat to find out though. I think it's time for a new reveal.
