When you tried them on, did they feel excessively high?  I can walk easily in 3.5 in heels, but these are 4 in.

If youre used to walking in 3.5 heels I think you would be fine with these. I'm sure the platform makes up for at least 1/4".

Are they Nine West? I tried them on at Macys thinking they were super sexy and cute on the shelf but once they were on my feet I felt they were too cheapo hookerish for myself (sorry to disagree with everyone). Maybe it depends on what you pair them with? Def try them on in person before you buy.
